  Medical Arts & Sciences

Home to a premiere medical arts district, the City of Deltona is a prime location for further healthcare growth and research. The medical arts district is comprised of doctor offices, labs, urgent care facilities, clinics, medical office buildings, emergency facilities, and a brand new hospital.

A trained medical workforce is easily located in Deltona, thanks to centrally located colleges and an abundant labor force of over 44,000 workers within a 5 mile radius. Halifax Health Medical Center is planning to build a teaching hospital in their current expansion. This will lead to the recruitment of a medical college for highly skilled medical training for doctors and
Resident nursing programs. With a successful medical industry, there will also be an influx of medically-based light industrial manufacturing, research, and development to support these ongoing  facilities.

  Ecotourism & Preservation

With ample acres of protected preservation land, it’s easy to see why Deltona is a premiere destination for ecotourism and preservation efforts. Home to the Scrub Jay, a Florida native species classified as “Threatened” under the Endangered Species Act, Deltona has built a true ecological destination recognized by the Audubon Society.

Over the past few years, the City of Deltona has focused on the development of nature themed parks, and an extensive trail and bicycle system to access these resources and help the physical well being of our citizens.

  Corporate Headquarters

With a favorable tax situation for corporate headquarters, including no corporate franchise tax, no state personal income tax, no taxes on inventories and no taxes on foreign income, Florida recognizes the importance of corporate presence for the state’s economy and has designated corporate headquarters and R&D as areas of emphasis in economic development.

Deltona is no exception to the rule. Surrounded by ample land and notable headquarters such as NASCAR, International Speedway Corporation, Brown and Brown, LPGA, and more, you’re in good company.

  Advanced Manufacturing

Surrounded by over 400 manufacturers in industries such as boat manufacturing, simulator development, and high tech medical devices, Deltona and the surrounding region offer a vibrant manufacturing community. Located adjacent to Interstate 4, a major connecting highway, and within close proximity to multiple international airports and deep water ports, Deltona has outstanding transportation infrastructure. Thanks to a plethora of top-notch colleges and universities, manufacturing companies locating here are also well-served with a qualified, educated workforce.
