Community Gardening in Deltona, grow your own fruits and vegetables. It’s your garden!
Did you know that #Deltona has a community garden? Founded in 2016, Deltona Community Gardens is located at
675 Elgrove Drive Next to Vann Park.
   You can have a garden of your own! It only takes “Sweat & Seeds” You may also learn about beekeeping, #gardening, canning/food preservation and more at the learning center. With plans for an environmental walking path, #butterfly garden and picnic area… Deltona Community Gardens needs your support. Please visit today and get your garden growing.

   New and experienced gardeners will be able to rent a garden bed and grow their own healthy food. Deltona Community Gardens has ground raised beds as well as elevated beds for those with special needs. We will also be tending some garden beds so that we can share the harvest with others in the community. Enjoy the amazing butterfly garden, which is a new addition. Those that are interested can sign up to help with butterfly activities. This will be the place for people to learn about gardening, get involved and share information/ideas about gardening.

   To strengthen our community by providing a learning environment to meet and share our cultural experiences and enjoy the benefits of growing a garden and taking it from seed to table.

   The Deltona Community Gardens is a program under Welcoming Hearts, a non-profit, 501c3 organization.

Halifax Health/UFHealth

Physicians and patients in the Deltona area now have a choice in medical care.

    It’s been a few years since Jerry Mayes and the City of Deltona invited Halifax Health to the community. Beginning with the primary care office, it has grown into a free-standing Emergency Department and over the past 2 years has served over 30,000 people!
    Halifax Health has partnered with @UFHealth for neurosurgery, heart and vascular surgery as well as transplant services. In addition, Halifax is constructing a Medical Office building which will be completed near the beginning of 2020.
    Licensed for 90 beds the medical center will be open 24/7 and Halifax plans on hiring a staff of 200 Team Members.

Properly designed and implemented, using a Cost Benefit Analysis & Return on Investment Projections, these incentives can advance a wide range of policy objectives such as increasing employment, promoting sustainability, enhancing citizens’ quality of life, and increasing economic equality.

Deltona Television is the communication station for the City of Deltona.

    Did you know that Deltona has it’s own TV Station? Deltona Television is the government access channel of the City of Deltona. Available to Bright House customers living in Volusia County and online with their Video Diaries and LIVE Streaming. Please tune-in to Spectrum Channel #491. Deltona TV is also available to AT&T U-Verse subscribers living in the Orlando-area Television Market on AT&T U-verse Channel #99. Deltona TV may also be found on Century Link Prism #85 and online with Video Diaries and LIVE Streaming at deltonafl.gov/deltona-tv
