Deltona is truly in the heart of Central Florida, located in the hub of some of the best entertainment Florida has to offer. Orlando is less than an hour away with Disney, Universal, Seaworld and more. Countless museums, parks, restaurants and shopping centers are available for your hearts content.

Only 28 miles from Daytona Beach, the “Festival Capital of Florida” with world renowned events such as Bike Week, Biketober Fest and the Halifax Art Festival. Deltona is rich in history and surrounded by historical sites such as DeLeon Springs State park, and the Sugarmill Ruins.

Arts and Culture

The amphitheater at the Deltona Regional Library hosts concerts throughout the year and is fun for the whole Family.

Veterans Memorial Park and Museum is a popular and well-maintained museum which hold hundreds of historical items from America’s war history including firearms, swords, telescopes and other soldierly items.

One of the most fascinating and exciting attractions for both young and old in the Kennedy Space Center, located at Cape Canaveral only about 55 miles away. Watch the actual shuttle launches (you can also see the shuttle launch from Deltona) enjoy simulations, tours, IMAX films and everything astronaut and space.


Cycling trails, nature trails and 22 beautiful parks are located in Deltona and our nature preserves are full of life. The Lyonia Nature Preserve, located next to the Deltona Regional Library is well known for it’s wildlife abundance. The Florida Scrub Jay. The 2.1 mile circuit at Lyonia Wildlife Preserve reaches the highest summit in Volusia County and allows visitors to view Florida’s ancient scrub habitat. The attached environmental center at The Lyonia Preserve features Deltona’s Regional Library which features hands-on displays, exhibition space, environmental classrooms and a nature based gift shop.

You’ll find another natural gem at Green Springs park. Covering over 36 acres and featuring one of Florida’s rare green sulfur springs which ranges itself in beautiful shades of greens, jades and turquoise seasons. Green Springs park also has 4 well-maintained trails to hike featuring scenic overlooks, a playground and fun picnic pavilions.

Sanford, only 10 miles down the road, showcases The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Garden. A 116 acre piece of adventure.

Sports and Recreation

There are many parks in Deltona. One of the most popular parks is Dewey O’ Boster Sports Complex. Home to a footbal field, soccer fields, a stage and a very large and accessible playground for children and adults alike. During games and special events, such as the annual Spooktacular, you’ll find a variety of concession stands to indulge upon. The premier soccer fields at Dewey O’ Boster Sports Complex are a favorite training ground for many teams, including international tema from the Bolton Wanderers FC (England) and Club Estudiantes de La Plata (Brasil) as well as Major League Soccer Club, the Philadelphia Union.

Lake Butler Recreation Complex is run by the Deltona Parks and Recreation Department and hosts a 15, 350 sqft cement street course skate park, basketball court, playground and pavilion.

Wes Crile Park is Deltona’s most popular park with an active gymnasium, walking trails, ball fields, basketball courts and “Splash Pad” for those hot days.
